Dale LeFebvre

Dale LeFebvre is the Chairman of Towne Mortgage Company. Dale serves on the Board at American Community Homes as Chairman. He leads Towne’s Executive Committee along with the CEO. Dale is also the founder and Chairman of 3.5.7.11, a holding company that creates value for technology-driven companies through the proprietary methodology of Transformational Investing™. Dale has managed and raised more than $1 billion in institutional capital. He is an alumnus of McKinsey & Company and is the recipient of a Bell Labs Fellowship, a Harvard Law Traphagen, and the 2006 Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellowship. He also holds multiple patents.

An engaged participant in his community, Dale serves on several boards including the Abraham Lincoln National Council of Ford’s Theater Society, the President’s Advisory Committee on the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the University of the Virgin Islands Foundation, where he has endowed a fellowship. He is also an emeritus board member of the National Urban League. Dale is Vice-Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s National Finance Committee and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

Dale holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School as well as Harvard Law School and is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts.

A passionate food enthusiast, Dale has cooked for various restaurateurs, oenophiles, celebrities, and the President of The United States.

Mark Janssen

Mark Janssen is the Chief Executive Officer of Towne Mortgage Company and serves on the Board at Towne Mortgage Company and American Community Homes as a Director. An accomplished financial institution executive with over 40 years of increasing responsibility in leadership and management roles.

Most recently, Mark served as GSVP Retail Sales and Sales Operations of MB Mortgage, Chief Executive Officer of Amera Mortgage Corporation, Chief Operating Officer of Source One Mortgage Corporation, and Director Retail Production of CitiMortgage.  Mark has proven expertise in running all aspects of mortgage lending as well as creating and executing successful strategic business plans aimed at restructuring, repositioning, growth, and recapitalization.

Mark is active in the community and a variety of charitable organizations.  KAJ Foundation, which raises and distributes money to assist breast cancer patients with uncovered expenses.  Nourish International, which is predominantly involved in providing food, education, and shelter to children in villages near Hoedspruit South Africa.  Mark is a founder and current board member of both organizations.

On a personal note, Mark was once a varsity high school coach, is currently a United States Ski Association official and former Board Member, and is an active participant of anything outdoors.  Mark obtained his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Finance from Wayne State University.

Kim Alexander

Kim Alexander is the Chief Operations and Transformation Officer for Towne Mortgage Company. Kim has been in the mortgage industry for more than 23 years, 21 of those with Towne.

Kim is a member of Towne’s Executive Committee and is responsible for managing front and back-end operations for Towne’s multi-channel and multi-brand platform.

She is a past president of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association (MMLA) and is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), several regional credit union support organizations, and has served on various local and national committees. She has completed several courses throughout her career, including the MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking courses I and II.

Kim studied business at the University of Michigan and holds both a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation and a Certified Residential Originator (CRO) designation from the MBA.

When she’s not working, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband Phil, son Noah and their extended family.  She also enjoys golfing, traveling and is an avid sports fan.

Monica Horger

Monica Horger is the Chief People Officer at Towne Mortgage Company and a member of the Executive Committee.  Monica has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources within the Mortgage, Finance, Marketing and Healthcare industries spanning many aspects including leadership, coaching, recruiting, driving performance, mergers and acquisitions, training, and building structure and culture.

Most recently before coming to Towne she was instrumental in leading and building HR and Culture strategy at Quicken Loans, MB Financial Bank, and Guaranteed Rate Mortgage.  She sits on the board for 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in Metro Detroit and is actively involved in Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit (her passion is animals)!

Monica has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Human Resources from Walsh College.

She lives in the Metro Detroit area with her husband Brett and three children: Jett a Giant Newfoundland, Rigzy a Golden Retriever puppy, and Calvin Johnson the cat (and memories forever of their 15 1/2-year-old Golden named Salum).

Kim Goodell

Kim Goodell is the Chief Servicing Officer for Towne Mortgage Company and serves on the Executive Committee.

Before moving into her current role, Kim served for two years as the Deputy Director of Default at Towne. Kim is a licensed attorney in Michigan, Illinois and Missouri. Prior to joining Towne, Kim was a practicing attorney most recently at Simon PLC focusing in Creditor’s Rights, Real Estate Law, and Business Litigation. Kim was previously a Managing Partner at Potestivo & Associates, P.C., managing the firm’s Illinois office with a focus in Creditor’s Rights.

Kim earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and French from Western Michigan University. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.”

In her free time, Kim enjoys playing and watching just about any sport and is an avid reader. Most weekends, you will find Kim outside at the soccer field watching her kids’ games.

John A. Korch

John A. Korch is the Chief Production Officer of Towne Mortgage Company and a member of the Executive Committee.  John has over 30 years in the mortgage banking industry covering Finance, Capital Markets, Community Lending, Consumer Direct, Retail and Third Party Originations Sales Management.

Most recently before coming to Towne, John served as Senior Vice President of Retail and Consumer Direct Sales at MB Financial Bank, N.A.  John was previously Senior Vice President of Amera Mortgage Corporation, Vice President at Citigroup, and Vice President at Source One Mortgage Services Corporation.

John earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

John loves being outdoors all year round and spends as much time as possible ‘up north’ in Harbor Springs, MI.  John enjoys skiing, snowmobiling, biking, hiking and spending time with his family and friends.

Phillip Kukafka

Phillip Kukafka is the Chief Capital Markets Officer for Towne Mortgage and a member of its Executive Committee.

Before working with Towne, Phillip worked for The Money Source (TMS).  While at TMS, he was involved in all aspects of the company including capital markets, sales, securitization, MSR valuation and sales, operations, implementing risk management procedures, hedging strategies, and loan selling and purchasing.

He was an integral part of increasing the business from $20 million per month to $500 million per month.

Prior to working at TMS, he ran the Capital Markets Team at Deutsche Bank, the MortgageIT division, selling over $150 billion in mortgage loans to various Wall Street banks and investors. He was also a member of the Executive and PR Teams that assisted in taking MortgageIT public.

Phillip is a CPA and has worked at various public accounting firms and on Wall Street.  He studied Accounting at Fredonia State University.

In his free time, Phillip, an “equal opportunity sportsman”, enjoys skiing, mountain biking, roller hockey, and golf.

Thomas J. Marshall

Thomas J. Marshall is the Chief Financial Officer for Towne Mortgage Company and a member of its Executive Committee.  Tom has over 30 years’ experience in the mortgage banking, commercial finance and banking industries.

Prior to coming to Towne, Tom held senior roles in finance, treasury, and capital markets.  Tom began his career with Ernst and Young and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tom obtained a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Wayne State University.

In his free time, Thomas enjoys tennis, biking, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dana Peznowski

Dana Peznowski is the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel for Towne Mortgage Company and serves on the Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Towne, Dana was a Compliance Partner Lead at Flagstar Bank for its Mortgage and Consumer Lending divisions as well as a practicing Attorney at Kus, Ryan & Associates, PLLC where she provided advisory services to clients in the areas of Financial Institution Regulatory Compliance, Consumer Credit, Banking law and Real Estate law.

You can usually find Dana at the baseball diamond cheering on her kids’ teams or reading.  She has two rescue ‘Pitties’ and her hair is never the same color (of the rainbow) for very long. Currently, Dana is learning to speak Spanish.

Dana is a graduate of University of Detroit Mercy’s School of Law and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Oakland University. Additionally, Dana holds a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers.

Randy Temple

Randy Temple is the Chief Information Officer at the Towne Mortgage. Randy has over 20 years of experience in the Information technology field. Well-recognized for his commitment to building teams that align strategy, processes, and IT assets with business goals; he excels in application development and enterprise implementations. Previously, Randy has held positions of Director of Support Services, Vice President of Application Development and CIO at various financial and default firms.

Randy has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

In his free time, Randy can normally be found on the golf course with his two sons, or inside an ice rink coaching hockey.

Richard Walkowski

Richard Walkowski is the Treasurer of Towne Mortgage Company and a member of the Executive Committee. He has spent over a decade in the residential real estate and mortgage industry.

Before coming to Towne, Richard worked in financial and operations consulting for Garden Fresh Gourmet, where he drove improvements in one of their divisions by prioritizing enhancements to the product lineup, process, and equipment. Richard also directed financial reporting for REDICO, LLC, where he assisted the company as it worked its way through a financial crisis and transitioned the firm’s various partnerships to a new accounting system.

As Vice President at Crosswinds National, he directed the financial and market analysis of 30 projects in seven states and evaluated the feasibility of potential deals. Richard was an Area Vice President at Pulte Homes, where he managed strategic planning and feasibility studies for the Great Lakes Region. He gained brand, product, and international financial experience at General Motors in a variety of positions before being recruited to the real estate industry. Richard began his career with Ernst and Young. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Richard studied Accounting at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he also earned an MBA with Distinction. He is an animal lover and a fitness follower.
